Our Business

Beginning in the winter of 2006, Randy Eckhart worked full time for a small local Structural Engineering firm.  Over the next two years the business grew and Randy Eckhart became VP of Operations for the Engineering Firm.  In early 2008 after much success of operating this business, transition began to develop a supplemental company which would be fully owned and operated by Mr. Eckhart. 

Structel Consultants was officially formed in September of 2008.  Over the past 18 years, Structel Consultants has continued to grow each and every year while building several strong client relationships and successful projects along the way.     

Who We Are

Randy Eckhart - Project Manger/Owner

Randy is a Colorado native who brings a rare blend of construction experience, structural expertise, and business leadership to Structel Consultants. He launched his first company, RGE Construction, at age 18, specializing in structural steel floor systems for residential homes across Colorado. After returning to school to earn his Architectural Engineering degree, he built a strong foundation working within the structural engineering industry. Since founding Structel Consultants, Randy has served as the owner operator and the driving force behind the company. He manages all project coordination, client communication, accounting, and daily operations while remaining heavily involved in project design production, site visits/field meetings, and everything in between. Randy is also a Colorado Licensed Real Estate Broker and maintains a strong passion for real estate investing — including several successful fix and flip ventures, short term rentals, and general contracting projects. These experiences add another layer of practical insight to his work and strengthen the comprehensive perspective he brings to Structel’s clients.

Kenny has collaborated with Randy since 2005 and has been the Responsible Charge Engineer for Structel Consultants since its inception in 2008. With a broad and seasoned background in structural engineering, Kenny brings a high level of expertise, oversight, and professional leadership to every project. His guidance ensures Structel’s engineering operations consistently meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability..  

Ryan Neumayer-Design/Drafting Specialist

Ryan has been part of Structel since early 2018 and plays a central role in our production operations, leading much of our drafting work and performing field construction inspections with a sharp eye for detail. His professional history with Kenny and Randy goes back more than two decades to their time together at a major Colorado engineering firm. That long-standing experience and familiarity with our processes make Ryan a steady, trusted resource for both Structel and our clients.
